Nightingale Child

Awake while the sun still sleeps
Four nightingales are singing their song
The story hidden in its small trills
Tells of a child who once across it came
The child stopped and gasped in amazement
And the bird watched the child and took the chance
Its song filled the forest which in they stood
And soon they both were a part in a play
The child danced and swung his arms around
Though the bird knew, the child meant no harm
So together they sang and danced through the air
And the forest grew bigger to the rythm of the song
But as a voice called out for the child to return
The child smiled at the bird and said, "Thanks for the dance"
Since then every night the nightingales have sung
About the rememberable story of the Nightingale Child
